Poll: Hispanics oppose — but don’t fear — Trump

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump might be uniquely unpopular with Hispanic voters, but they are unafraid of what will happen in this presidential election.

A new Gallup poll finds 64% of African-Americans surveyed said they “strongly agree” when asked if they fear the outcome of the race. And 53% of whites polled have that view.
But Latinos? Only 38% share that fear.
Similarly, Hispanics are less likely than other Americans to feel that the stakes of the election are particularly high. Only 50% say they “strongly agree” that this year is more important than in years past, unlike the 66% of blacks and 63% of whites who feel that way.
Hispanics largely support Hillary Clinton’s campaign, beating Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, by as much as 40 points. Trump has pledged to deport all undocumented immigrants and build a wall along the country’s southern border, while Clinton, the presumptive Democratic nominee, has pledged to go further than President Barack Obama in extending rights to the undocumented.
